IPL Photofacial
Effectively Treat the Signs of Aging and Sun Damage
Skin aging is a natural process that everyone must face in their life. For some people the skin ages as they do, for others, the skin starts to age earlier than expected. The skin becomes prone to damage and can result in spider veins, sun damage, brown spots, among other skin conditions. Is there a way you can address these skin problems? Have you heard of or given IPL Photofacial a try?
What is IPL Photofacial?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. IPL Photofacial is a laser light treatment to the skin that targets several pigment issues, such as sun damage, brown spots, and red spots, and Rosacea or enlarged facial blood vessels. The bright pulsed light passes through the epidermis, draws out the pigment-producing cells, and disperses the uneven pigmented areas.
IPL Photofacial is ideal for use on several parts of the body. It can be used on the face, neck, shoulders, chest, legs, back of arms, and just about anywhere else. It is an ideal treatment for spider veins and broken veins. Have you been looking for suitable skin treatment for yourself? Your IPL Photofacial Treatment Experience
IPL Photofacial is an ideal aesthetic treatment that offers a solution that you can benefit from. If you have any skin concerns give us a call at Innovative MedSpa and book an appointment. During your consultation with us, our expert healthcare providers will talk to you about your skin concerns and conduct a physical examination of your skin. You will also be asked about your medical history, medications, and family medical history to understand if your skin problem is caused by any other underlying condition.
On determining that you are an ideal candidate for the IPL Photofacial treatment, a course of treatment will be drawn up, tailored to your exact needs. You will be asked to avoid tanning beds, tanning creams, unprotected sun exposure on the areas receiving treatment for at least four weeks before the treatment. On the day of the treatment, you will be asked to come in without any makeup. Your medical provider will explain the procedure before the treatment starts and answer any questions you might have.
During the treatment, you will be provided with an eye-shield to protect your eyes from the laser. Your healthcare provider at Innovative MedSpa will slowly guide the Icon handpiece over the treatment area. The laser emits multiple wavelengths into the skin to effectively target the pigment-producing cells. The light energy produced by the handpiece is converted into heat energy, and the heat energy destroys the hyperactive melanin-producing cells in the skin. The handpiece provides a cooling sensation for increased comfort throughout the treatment. After the treatment session is complete, a cooling gel is applied to the treatment area.
IPL Photofacial is a minimally invasive treatment, and hence bandages are not required after the procedure. You can also resume your day-to-day activities immediately after your treatment.
