Here are 10 MedSpa treatments to consider before your wedding day:
Hydrafacial
It’s no secret that a HydraFacial is the ultimate #GlowUp treatment. Known for its quick 30-minute, 3-step treatment, you will leave with your skin looking plump, bright and hydrated. You can customize your treatment to tailor your skin’s needs by adding on boosters. For example, if one of your concerns is discoloration, adding on the Brightalive Booster would be highly beneficial. It reduces the appearance of dark spots, evens out skin tone, all while replenishing your skin with a healthy balance of hydration and preventing new pigmentation from forming.
Innovative MedSpa offers a variety of additional add-ons to boost your results even further. One of our fan-favorites are the LED lights. LED Light Therapy helps to reduce inflammation. Frequent treatment can also help increase collagen content in the skin, promoting a more youthful appearance.
Chemical Peel
Chemical peels are excellent for significantly improving the overall tone and skin texture. The treatment utilizes a chemical solution to help remove the top layers of the skin. Not all chemical peels are the same, different types offer different strengths depending on your skin type as well as the skin issues you are looking to address. After treatment, you will start to notice skin peeling which can last anywhere from 3-5 days.
Laser Hair Removal
One less thing to stress about – shaving! Laser hair removal is the most effective way to get rid of unwanted hair on most parts of the body, while also preventing unsightly ingrown hairs that can lead to hyperpigmentation and infections. It is important to note that full results take time! Roughly 6 treatments scheduled every 4-6 weeks are typically recommended in order to see full results. Remaining on a consistent schedule leading up to your big day is key! Consult with your provider.
Neurotoxins
No wrinkles here please! One of the most popular pre-wedding treatments is Botox/Dysport. If you’re planning on receiving Botox or Dysport and it’s your first time, there are a few things you should take into account. It’s best to book your appointment at least 3-4 weeks prior to any big event, as this is about the length of time it will take to reap the full results. Not only do neurotoxins affect everyone differently, but they can also be used to treat other common concerns, other than antiaging. Dermal Filler
Dermal fillers are used to fill areas that lack volume, helping to promote more symmetry. Common areas that filler can treat include the chin, lips, cheeks, smile lines, tear troughs and even your temples.
“Volume loss is inevitable, it can make you look aged and tired even if you feel young and energetic. Genes, aging and fat loss are to blame. On this patient I used a cannula to restore volume to his midface and lateral cheeks. This method allows for less downtime as there are less pokes therefore less bruising. This patient was so happy with his results he could not stop smiling. Afterwards he kept saying, ‘You took 10 years off my face and restored so much confidence!’” said Brooke East, Nurse Injector at the Lincoln Park and Wicker Park locations.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Looking for a more aggressive treatment option to treat a variety of concerns such as fine lines, acne scars, or uneven skin tone and texture? Laser skin resurfacing is for you. Laser away skin irregularities at any of our 3 Chicagoland MedSpa locations in Lincoln Park, Wicker Park or River North. Each of our charming locations include state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best treatment option for you.
“HALO beautiful! I love the HALO treatment by Sciton! It’s an ablative and non-ablative skin resurfacing treatment that helps revitalize the skin from fine lines and wrinkles to acne scars. Great for all skin types!” – Kelly Guisinger, Aesthetics Director at Innovative MedSpa
Body Contouring
How do you want to look in your wedding dress or tux? One of the most common concerns we hear has to do with getting rid of bulge or slimming down the waistline. Whether you’re looking to simply tone your muscles or eliminate stubborn fat, we’ve got you covered. With treatment options such as Coolsculpting Elite and Emsculpt, our team of highly-trained providers will guide you down the aisle to your dream body.
Keravive by Hydrafacial
Frequent scalp treatments should be at the top of your to-do list when getting ready for your big day! They help stimulate blood flow, which is essential for the delivery of key nutrients to the hair follicles. Scalp treatments also help to unclog these follicles, get rid of dandruff and can also prevent hair loss.
Hydrafacial’s Keravive Scalp Health therapy is an in-office treatment that can drastically improve the overall health of your scalp, which in turn leads to a healthier fuller-looking head of hair! It utilizes Hydrafacial’s patented Vortex technology to help unclog the follicles, stimulate hair growth, while also infusing key nutrients back into the scalp and hair. You may also add platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections to further stimulate inactive hair follicles and promote growth.
Microneedling
Let’s be honest – the honeymoon is definitely at the top of the list when planning out your nuptials. “Should we go somewhere with a beach? But wait… my stretch marks!”
While you may think of microneedling for treating acne scars or wrinkles on your face, it can also help treat other parts of the body such as your thighs or abdominal region. Microneedling is a safe and effective way to treat wrinkles or unwanted stretch marks. It works by creating micro-injuries in the skin, causing your body to produce new elastin and collagen to repair itself. Four to six treatments are typically recommended for full results, so scheduling these far in advance is important.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a type of exfoliation that uses a surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and “peach fuzz” from your face. This allows products to be applied more seamlessly, providing the perfect canvas for your wedding make-up. To be safe, it is best to receive treatment at least 3-5 days before your wedding day.
